Nikki Vanecek is Nationally Board Certified in Acupuncture and licensed to practice in the state of Minnesota. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and a master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Northwestern Health Sciences University.
In addition to her training and education in the United States, Nikki studied at Tianjin Medical University, a top ranked medical college, in Tianjin China. She completed intensive training in the areas of acute and chronic pain and neurological conditions such as headaches, migraines, neuropathy and stroke recovery.
Nikki grew up in the Lake Minnetonka area and became interested in practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) after struggling with severe shoulder pain for more than three years. After trying several unsuccessful types of treatments: physical therapy, chiropractic adjustments and steroid injections, Nikki final found relief with acupuncture. Her relief from pain was so complete and transformative Nikki became passionate about the study of acupuncture and herbal medicine.
Passionate about supporting the lake area community, Nikki uses her experience and knowledge to educate and inspire others to lead healthy, stress-free lives. Whether speaking to high school students, conducting cosponsored acupuncture seminars or collaborating with western medical professionals, Nikki strives to provide exceptional care.
Based on her personal experience and love for Traditional Chinese Medicine, Nikki’s mission is to help her patients live life to the fullest.

Nicole Lovald is a Board Certified Life Coach, Certified Yoga Instructor and Reiki Master. She has a master’s degree in Counseling from Capella University and is currently enrolled in a post-graduate certificate program in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has training from The Center of Mind-Body Medicine and Veterans Yoga Project and is certified to officiate weddings and other spiritual ceremonies through the Universal Life Church.
Nicole has spent over 15 years working in higher education, social services, non-profit, and for-profit settings. Her love of yoga began many years ago when her husband was deployed and she was looking for a self-care practice to ease her worried mind and untangle the stress induced knots in her body. Yoga led her to a variety of other healing modalities and integrative medicine. Nicole is now passionate about sharing what she has learned about healing her mind and body with others.
Nicole is the author of a spiritual memoir, Om Sweet Om: A Corporate Junkies Search for Enlightenment.
It is Nicole’s mission to help others learn how to better manage stress and tune into their bodies healing abilities. A life full of joy, ease, and wellbeing is her ultimate hope for everyone she has the opportunity to work with.
Meet our clinic intern, Kerry! Kerry will be completing her Masters degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine in August 2020! She has special interests in reproductive health and fertility, as well as hormonal health and total body wellness.
In her free time she enjoys running, traveling with friends, cooking, paddle boarding and exploring the local parks with her yellow lab, Chloe.
Here at the clinic, Kerry offers cupping and bodywork on Monday and Tuesday afternoons!
Meet our clinic intern, Kayla! Kayla is currently a Registered Nurse working in an Emergency Department. Having a desire to leave her patients feeling better long term, she enrolled in the Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine program at Northwestern Health Sciences University.
Through the program Kayla has developed a desire for working with people in an environment that promotes long term, whole person healing. Kayla has a passion for treating mental health, sexual health disorders, trauma, dermatologic issues, general maintenance & geriatric health.
When she is not working or in class, Kayla enjoys back country camping, hiking, crafting, cooking, and traveling to National Parks with her husband. She also has a 3 year old Catahoula that she loves spending time and playing with.
Meet our clinic intern, Meaghan! Meaghan graduated with her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2017. She will be graduating with her Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in August 2020. She has a special interest in treating symptoms of stress, anxiety and depression, and improving skin health and overall wellness.
When she’s not studying or at clinic, Meaghan loves live music, traveling, trying new recipes and being active.
Having grown up in Excelsior, Meaghan is excited to help serve the community that raised her.
